To suit our concept we aimed to convey an isolated and fleeting feeling among the spreads.

Sourcing Imagery

To get ourselves thinking about memory and time,  we all gathered family photos and fond memories. These photos would serve both as ample conversation starter, and as the base of our graphic imagery.

Creating Imagery

To strengthen our tie with the Issue's theme of "time" we decided to give a cyanotype-like effect to our images. This image treatment combined with overlayed writing from the back of the photos aimed to evoke powerful feelings of nostalgia.

Layout & Typography

We leaned in to full-bleed imagery that emphasizes the singular subjects as isolated, otherworldly. Paired with typography that is broken and blurred, the writing feels separate and distanced.
